Basic Opening Principle- Central Control

Hi guys, Welcome to chess lectures.

Today I'm going to discuss a classic game which shows the importance of center control. You can occupy the center with pawns and pieces. The main task of opening is to control the center. In some openings we use pawns to control the center and in some openings we control the center with pieces.

Once you have center control you have nice space and nice mobility and it's bothersome to your opponent.Today's game is based on pawn center and white maneuver his pieces behind the pawns. In the bottom I'm sharing some basic key points which you can learn from this game.

Key points to remember:
  1. Basics of center control.
  2. Pawn dual in center and it's importance.
  3. Piece mobility.
  4. Basic exchange strategy (when you have space)
  5. Domination in chess.
  6. Basics of pawn storming in the flanks.
  7. Step by step planning in the Middle Game.
