Game of the Century

Image
The Game of the Century is a famous chess game that was won by the 13-year-old future World Chess Champion Bobby Fischer against Donald Byrne in the Rosenwald Memorial Tournament at the Marshall Chess Club  in New York City on October 17, 1956. The following game, a stunning masterpiece of combination play performed by a boy of 13. The combination was started when Donald made Bg5 on move 11 and then Fischer found a shocker Na4!!. The point is that Donald broke the basic opening principle by moving his same piece twice. Instead of Bg5 better was Be2 follow by castles. Fischer not only played combinative chess but also he sacrificed his queen and played with tremendous compensation. In the end Fischer's piece co-ordinates to force checkmate. Basic Chess Opening Principle- Do not bring the Queen Out

Image
This is an amazing educational game for beginners. This was played between Paul Morphy and James McConnell in 1849. That time theory was not developed. You will see how by using tempos white got a winning position and this teach us that first learn concepts then apply in your games and only in specific conditions break them but if you change this order like you learnt concept and breaking it without understanding it well then you will face trouble in whole game. This game will explain you two concepts in chess. Never bring your queen out early in the game . Power of development with tempo. Checkmating pattern. Co-ordination of whole army. The main task of opening is to control the center. In some openings we use pawns to control the center and in some openings we control the center with pieces.  Once you have center control you have nice space and nice mobility and it's bothersome to your opponent.Today's game is based on pawn center and white maneuver his pieces behind the pawns. In the bottom I'm sharing some basic key points which you can learn from this game. Key points to remember: Basics of center control. Pawn dual in center and it's importance. Piece mobility. Basic exchange strategy (when you have space) Domination in chess. Basics of pawn storming in the flanks. Step by step planning in the Middle Game.
